JOB DESCRIPTION

The Nare Hotel is looking to appoint an experienced Finance manager. The role is based at the hotel near Truro and is the main role in finance, reporting to the FD with a dotted line to the MD.
We’re looking for someone to take ownership of the day to day finances and reporting of the company as well as provide support to the GM, FD and MD as required.

SKILLSET/EXPERIENCE

· Xero experience essential. Approvalmax and Dext Prepare experience desired.
· 5 years + in similar roles.
· Must have payroll experience, dealing with all aspects (SSP, SMP, SPP, holiday pay, absence, seasonal staff etc)
· Intermediate user of Excel (lookup, Sumif etc) and used to importing and manipulating data.
· Hospitality experience preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

· Main contact for all financial matters.
· Maintenance of purchase ledger
· Processing daily income journals from the hotel management system (RMS Cloud).
· Review of RMS end of day reports.
· Daily reconciliations – bank, cash and PDQ control accounts.
· Managing cashflow (supplier payments, staff payments, inter account transfers)
· Raising invoices for rental income.
· VAT returns quarterly.
· Monthly payroll – 100-120 staff.
· Annual P11D’s.
· Monthly reconciliations – all balance sheet accounts.
· Accruals and prepayments.
· Weekly and monthly reporting.
· Liaising with GM and wider HO team on a regular basis
· Ad hoc reporting and assistance to GM, MD and FD as required.
