POSITION: FINANCE MANAGER

Location: Toronto (Full-Time, In-Office Only)
Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 base + performance bonus
Industry: Investment Management / Advisory
Our client, a well-established Toronto-based investment management and advisory firm, is seeking a Finance Manager to support the finance function across both corporate and fund-level entities. This is a full-time, in-office role with significant exposure to fund accounting, corporate reporting, and operational finance. It is ideal for a CPA-designated professional from a Big 4 background who is looking for long-term growth toward a leadership role.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CPA designation (or close to completion)
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience, ideally with a Big 4 background
  • Solid understanding of fund accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience in asset management, private equity, or investment advisory considered a strong asset
  • Proactive, hands-on attitude and the ability to work in a lean, fast-paced environment
  • Strong Excel skills and professional communication abilities
Responsibilities
  • Assist with full-cycle financial reporting, including preparation of audited financials and management reports
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and support monthly close processes
  • Contribute to fund-level reporting and investor statement preparation
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and assist with treasury functions
  • Support regulatory filings and ensure compliance with investment and real estate regulations
  • Assist with tax compliance, expense tracking, and budgeting
  • Help prepare investor reports, board presentations, and other financial materials
  • Liaise with external auditors, legal counsel, and banking partners
  • Provide operational finance support (insurance, payroll, IT, etc.)
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance financial operations
