QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
A Finalist or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with proven experience in financial operations and reporting.
Proven experience in financial operations, including accounts payable, reconciliations, and VAT returns.
Strong team management skills with a focus on professional development and coaching.
Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a focus on detail and accuracy.
Experience supporting audits and implementing robust financial controls.
Commitment to improving processes and delivering high-quality financial reporting.

Oversee the purchase ledger, ensuring accurate processing of invoices, expenses, payments, accruals, and prepayments.
Review monthly reconciliations, including bank accounts, credit cards, payroll, and aged payables, ensuring adherence to controls.
Prepare quarterly VAT returns, ensuring accurate recording and apportionment of business and charitable transactions.
Manage and support two team members (Finance Officer and Finance Assistant) through training, professional coaching, and development.
Assist in preparing annual budgets, monitor expenditure, and lead quarterly review meetings.
Contribute to quarterly management accounts for the Finance and Audit Committee.
Partner with programme teams to create budgets, monitor grant expenditure, and support grant proposals, reporting, and audits.
Deliver organisation-wide financial training sessions to improve budgeting knowledge.
Collaborate with senior finance leadership to analyse expenditure and identify efficiency opportunities.
