FINANCE MANAGER - MEDIA GROUP - LONDON - PAYING £60,000 - £65,000

I am recruiting for an exciting, forward-thinking media company, shaping the future of content and creativity. As a rapidly growing business we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Finance Manager to join our vibrant team and help us continue on our exciting growth journey.
As a Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the day-to-day financial operations of the business. You will provide financial insights, contribute to business decisions, and oversee financial planning, reporting, and analysis. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work within a creative, fast-paced environment while making a direct impact on the company’s growth and success.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience in a finance management or similar role, ideally within a media, entertainment, or creative industry.
  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and systems. Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present it in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence non-financial stakeholders.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of financial reporting and analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, solution-oriented approach to working with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Understanding of how financial decisions impact business operations and strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles. Provide detailed variance analysis and commentary.
  • Work with senior leadership to prepare and update the company’s budget and financial forecasts, ensuring they align with the company’s objectives.

  • Ensure that the company is compliant with financial regulations, tax requirements, and internal controls.
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of financial systems and processes to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Work closely with other finance team members and support their development, ensuring a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Take the lead on key financial projects such as process improvements, system upgrades, and strategic initiatives.
