Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

· Reporting to the Finance Director, the Finance Manager is a key member of the Finance leadership team helping to guide and steward the organization financially.
· Manage a team of 1-2 financial analysts, providing coaching as well as career and development guidance and support.
· Assist with the development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), LE (latest estimate) as well as contribute to the creation of the 5-year strategic plan.
· Contribute to the month-end financial reporting and analysis process including partnering with stakeholders and understanding variances to plan with focus on sales, cost of goods sold and gross profit.
· Contribute to the quarterly bank reporting including compiling commentary to explain key variances to plan and last year.
· Oversee the development of pricing for new product opportunities as well as current customer price maintenance.
· Participate in the S&OP forecasting process as a finance lead assisting with the evaluation of sales results and the forecasting of future months and full year sales, as well as the identification of risks & opportunities.
· Provide business partnering to key stakeholders across Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, Technical Services, IT, and Engineering.
· Responsible for the development, maintenance and integrity of key financial reports including the product profitability report, rate/mix/volume analysis across sales, materials and labour, and standard costing methodology
· Participate in the capital review process, assisting capital stakeholders with tracking capital expenditures and conducting pre- and post-evaluations of proposed capital investments.
· Participate in the continuous improvement (CI) process tracking and evaluating prospective and existing CI initiatives.
· Contribute to the assessment, oversight and audit of critical internal controls that are associated with the key responsibilities of the role.
· Assist with the oversight of the financial integrity of the financial data and reporting from the Batch Master ERP system.
· Work on special projects and other duties as required.
