Suitability Criteria

Suitability recognises that a range of factors contribute to merit, including skills, knowledge, abilities, behaviours, ethical alignment and relevant operational requirements. The suitability requirements below are derived from the Job Description Form and define what will be assessed to determine your suitability for the role:

• Demonstrated highly developed skills in financial, budget and service activity analysis and management.
• Demonstrated excellent problem-solving skills including conceptual and analytical ability.
• Substantial contemporary knowledge of fiscal governance, accounting standards and financial management processes, including experience with relevant financial accounting information systems, spreadsheet software and databases.
• Demonstrated experience in the application of internal control and risk management practices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively as part of a team, with a proven ability to promote positive peer and line management relationships.
• Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills, oral and written communication skills.
• Current knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements in the areas of Equal Opportunity, Disability Services and Occupational Safety & Health, and how these impact on employment, people management and service delivery.
• Ability to travel to regional/rural sites as required.
