As a Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Westpac Institutional Bank by helping leaders understand their costs, risks, and opportunities, and make better-informed decisions. You’ll partner closely with finance and business stakeholders across WIB, providing clear insights into expense drivers and leading improvements that strengthen financial control and value protection. You’ll work across the full expense management cycle, balancing day‑to‑day delivery with forward‑looking analysis and problem solving. A big part of your role will be lifting capability by improving how work gets done, simplifying processes, and supporting your team to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes. You’ll also lead and develop an offshore team, setting clear direction and fostering a strong performance culture. This is a full-time role based in Sydney, with flexibility supported.   What do I need? You’ll succeed in this role if you enjoy partnering with stakeholders and working through complex problems to create practical outcomes. * Strong experience in expense management or financial analysis within a complex organisation, ideally financial services. * The ability to analyse cost drivers, risks and opportunities, and translate insights into clear, practical advice. * Confidence working with stakeholders, influencing outcomes and constructively challenging where needed. * A mindset focused on improving processes, controls and ways of working. * Experience leading or coordinating teams, with a focus on quality, delivery and continuous improvement.   Why join us?
