We are partnering with a thriving Wetherby-based SME who are looking for a Finance Manager to join their friendly and dedicated finance team. Reporting into the Financial Director, you will be at the centre of the company’s financial operations, making sure month-end and year-end reports are as accurate as they are timely.

As the Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the financial strategy of the company. You will oversee and manage all aspects of financial reporting, ensuring the integrity of financial data and compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work closely with senior management, providing insights that will influence key business decisions. You will join a growing business that is a leader in its industry and will have experience of managing a small finance team and will enjoying motivating and mentoring.

Responsibilities
  • Leading the preparation, review, and presentation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
  • Day to day management of a transactional finance team
  • Producing and delivering comprehensive financial reports for the group, offering clear insights into the company’s financial health
  • Conducting detailed variance analysis and evaluating stock performance, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements
  • Supporting the Financial Controller with project work around finance procedures and system implementation/development
  • Presenting financial information to the board and supporting with the cash flow forecast
  • Continuously reviewing and enhancing financial systems, processes, and procedures to streamline operations and improve financial accuracy
  • Primary point of contact for the annual audit, ensuring all financial records are audit-ready and liaising with external auditors
  • Maintaining and managing the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate tracking of assets and compliance with depreciation policies
  • Leading the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with department heads to develop accurate financial
    We are ideally seeking a fully qualified CIMA/ACCA professional with strong experience in management and/or financial accounting. A qualified by experienced candidate will also be considered.The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading and developing a finance team, along with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Experience in a growth environment, along with a talent for working with software systems, would be highly valued.
