Description

THE POSITION:

Our client is a well-established firm in the trading & commodities sector. Headquartered in Singapore, they have a strong history and numerous assets in Asia. The company has enjoyed solid growth and they are now seeking a Regional Finance Manager to join them, focusing on financial accounting, reporting and consolidation plus certain aspects of risk, treasury and banking.
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including supervision of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger. In addition, you will provide critical insights to support decision-making through financial analysis and profit & loss reporting, while managing cash flow, tax and statutory audit matters and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders on process improvement initiatives.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

The successful candidate will ideally be a qualified accountant (CA/ACCA/CPA) with 6-10 years’ finance experience, preferably within the trading & commodities or related sector. You will have strong all-round experience in accounting, finance and tax, with a good understanding of Finance & ERP systems. A stable work history and staff supervision experience will be advantageous as will having some knowledge of the commodities markets in general.
