Job Description Local statutory and related matters Lead month-end reporting for Malaysia entity, including journal entry reviews, reconciliations, and financial statements. Manage all banking documentation, queries, and relationships. Oversee secretarial, taxation, and transfer pricing compliance. Liaise with banks, auditors, and statutory bodies to ensure timely and accurate submissions. Ensure compliance and timely submission on tax and statutory matters Controlling Maintain and strengthen internal control systems. Review and update policies and procedures to drive efficiency and compliance. Lead initiatives to improve financial systems, processes, and reporting accuracy. Enforce internal controls process Financial Planning and Analysis Support the budgeting and forecasting process, providing timely insights on performance against budget. Manage cash flow forecasting, including receivables, intercompany activities, capital expenditures, and payments. Provide analysis of cost movements and their impact on business results. Business Partnering Collaborate closely with regional accounting and finance teams to ensure alignment and best practices. Coach and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth. Lead or support ad-hoc projects that enhance financial performance and operational excellence. Demonstrated ability to influence at senior management level and contribute to strategic business discussions. Provide senior-level guidance to business leaders, ensuring financial considerations are embedded in commercial and operational decisions. Others Ad-hoc projects and assignments are naturally part of this role’s scope as well Qualifications Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum 3 years of Big 4 audit experience. 3-5 years of relevant experience in overseeing accounting department. Strong knowledge of IFRS standards and solid understanding of APAC tax regulations. Proficiency in MS Office; SAP ERP experience is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to partner across teams and functions. Proven track record of managing and hands on complex financial tasks with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
