Description
Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations (Freight Collection (F2BC), GL, AP, AR, fixed assets) Prepare and review financial statements and reporting packages Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting (local GAAP), including financial statements and reporting to authorities (IFRS / ISOX) Ensure full compliance with Greek tax and statutory requirements (VAT, corporate tax, MyData) Serve as the main contact for tax authorities (TAX Representation) Oversee processes, procedures, targets, KPIs, and Team performance Manage cash flow, liquidity, and banking relationships Establish and maintain strong internal controls Act as a financial advisor to the Country Manager and team leader Lead team development: training, appraisals, and performance management Improve financial processes and ensure effective use of SAP Ensure smooth execution of internal and external audits Participating in regional and global projects Prepare annual shareholders’ meetings and tax returns Supervise administrative matters (contracts, insurance, etc.) Manage workstation requirements and office planning Requirements Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, SOEL or equivalent professional qualification; Greek signing authority – Class A Accountant) Min. 7 Years of Professional Experience in similar management positions (experience in global companies strongly preferred) Strong knowledge of Greek TAX, IFRS, and SAP systems Languages: Greek Language (Must) / Fluent Business English (Must) Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and team management skills High level of ownership, accountability and professional behavior Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Commercial awareness and business acumen Ability to balance hands-on and strategic work
