Then we encourage you to apply for the position of Finance Officer at IDH.    As Finance Officer, you are a member of the Corporate Finance team. This is a role with clear ownership: you are responsible for the full accounts payable cycle, ensuring that all invoices and payments are processed, recorded, and reconciled accurately and on time.    You act as the focal point for accounts payable, maintaining oversight, ensuring compliance, and proactively driving improvements where needed. Your work directly contributes to the reliability and integrity of IDH’s financial operations.    Key Responsibilities:   • Manage and coordinate entirely IDH accounts payable process and related general ledger entries.  • Reliable, timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments, data entry and document management.  • Receive, initiate, and manage the workflows.  • Prepare international payments in compliance with internal and external policies and regulations.  • Reconciliations with bank statements and other ad-hoc analysis.  • Manage pending invoice approvals to ensure payment is before due date.  • Communicate pro-actively with international suppliers and interact with other IDH teams.  • Assist Senior Financial Controller with preparation of deliverables for year-end and interim audits.  Who you are:  You are someone who thrives in a role where accuracy, ownership, and timeliness are essential. Proficiency in Dutch is highly beneficial, particularly when working with Dutch banks and fiscal authorities.   What you bring:  •Eager to learn  •Working thinking at MBO+/HBO level with qualification in financial accounting  •Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in accounts payable/ financial accounting, particularly in an international context.  •Experience with ERP systems and financial management software; familiarity with Exact and SpendCloud is an advantage.  •Knowledge of political and administrative constraints affecting civil society organizations.  •Full professional proficiency in English; reading skills in Dutch is desirable to understand various documents in Dutch.  •Strong Excel skills.  •Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.  We offer you  * A challenging, pivotal role within an impacting, international organization.  * A salary range between EUR 3,455 - 4,319 (excluding 8% holiday allowance) per year (based on a 40-hour work week), depending on your experience and competencies.  * A full-time (40 hours) 1 year contract initially, with the intention to extend (as this is a permanent position) and an open environment where you can grow and develop yourself.  Comprehensive Benefits Package:  * Vacation: Enjoy 26 paid vacation days annually (based on 100% FTE).
