We’re looking for a proactive and detail-driven Finance Officer to join our Operations team. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this role is a key part of the engine room that keeps Aligent running smoothly. You’ll have a hand in everything from payroll to budgeting and forecasting, systems improvements to compliance, and you’ll play a vital part in our continued growth.

Responsibilities
  • Transactional Finance: End-to-end accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll (including super, tax, offshore staff), invoicing and credit control.
  • Compliance: Lodgement of BAS, payroll tax, Workcover, and other statutory reporting.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the development of long-range financial plans, annual budgets, and rolling forecasts with actionable insights.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Deliver monthly P&Ls and variance analysis and help us keep financial data clean, accurate, and useful.
  • Systems Leadership: Be the go-to for Xero, Employment Hero, and other finance tools—driving process improvement and automation.
