Key Details: Hours: 20 hours per week Reports to: Principal / Board Finance Representative. Job Description Are you a meticulous financial professional who wants to make a difference in a thriving school community? The Role You will be responsible for the efficient financial management of the school, working closely with our Principal and the Board of Trustees. Your work ensures that every dollar is directed toward providing "meaningful, challenging, and exciting learning experiences" for our learners. Your Responsibilities Financial Administration: Managing accounts payable/receivable, payroll interface, Budgeting & Monitoring: Supporting the Board and Principal in developing annual budgets and providing regular variance reports. School Shop & Uniforms: Overseeing financial transactions for our school shop and uniform sales. Audit & Compliance: Maintaining records in line with Ministry of Education requirements. Funding Management: Assisting with the financial side of international student enrolments and community fundraising initiatives. Qualifications About You We are looking for a professional who balances technical skill with a warm, community-focused approach. Experience: Previous experience in school finance (using systems like Xero, Approval max) is highly preferred. Integrity (Pono): You handle sensitive financial and personnel data with the utmost confidentiality. Aim High (Hiranga): You have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accurate, transparent reporting. Communication: You can translate complex financial data into clear information for our Board and staff.
