We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Finance Officer to work across our businesses, managing key financial processes and ensuring accuracy and compliance in all areas of accounting.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • AAT Level 3 qualification (minimum).
  • Previous experience in a similar accounts/finance role.
  • Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
  • Proven experience preparing and reconciling management accounts.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Experience using Sage or Zoho Books.
  • Experience working across multiple businesses or cost centres.

Responsibilities

ROLE PURPOSE

As a Finance Officer, you will take ownership of core financial functions across the group. You will be responsible for VAT, payroll, and cash forecasting, as well as preparing and presenting management accounts to support decision-making. The role requires a high degree of accuracy, discretion, and professionalism, with the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC requirements.
  • Process monthly payroll accurately and on time.
  • Complete month-end reporting, including reconciling the balance sheet.
  • Prepare and present management accounts for review by senior leadership.
  • Produce accurate and timely cash flow forecasts.
  • Maintain and monitor accurate financial records across multiple businesses.
  • Handle confidential information with absolute discretion.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
