JOB SUMMARY

The Finance Officer will support the Head of Finance in managing the company’s financial operations, including preparing financial reports, monitoring budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The role involves managing accounts, reconciling financial records, analyzing data, and providing accurate financial insights.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3 years of experience as a finance officer
• BSc. in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a similar course of study
• Proficiency in accounting software
• Familiarity with BankOne
• Knowledge of financial regulations and tax compliance

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare financial statements, budgets, and periodic reports for review.
• Assist in the preparation of management accounts and forecasts.
• Support budget preparation and monitor actual performance against budget.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies.
• Assist in audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify variances and trends.
• Maintain accurate records of accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger.
• Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies.
• Monitor cash flow to ensure sufficient funds for operations.
• Manage petty cash and process payments.
• Assist in payroll preparation and ensure timely payments.Handle statutory deductions and remittances.
