An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Officer based in our Head Office.
Job Title: Finance Officer
Reports to: Financial Controller
Location: The post holder will work across all clinic sites and be based in the IFPA Head Office.
Key Relationships: Financial Controller, Clinic Operations Manager & CEO
Experience: A solid understanding of accounting, payroll and bookkeeping principles along with HSE finance policy & procedures. Previous experience working in not for profit a distinct advantage.
Computer Literacy: Excellent IT skills. Knowledge of sage accounting and payroll systems a distinct advantage. Proficient user of MS Excel. Competencies: Organised and systematic, excellent attention to detail, excellent problem solver, numerically competent & confident, excellent time management, and deadline oriented.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Finance Officer is responsible for maintaining a record of all IFPA day-to-day financial activities including recording sales, purchasing & bank transactions and monthly reconciliation thereof. The Finance Officer should maintain the IFPA system of internal financial control at all times.
Day to day key responsibilities include:
1. Reconciling purchase requisitions forms & delivery dockets with purchase invoices on a weekly basis
2. Recording of purchase and bank transactions (income and payments) on SAGE on a weekly basis
3. Manage the weekly/monthly bank reconciliation process
4. Review, records & reconcile all company credit cards.
5. Monitor, record and reconcile clinic income on a weekly and monthly basis
6. Reconcile petty cash with petty cash receipts in the clinics
7. Process creditor payments and create a bimonthly creditor control report
8. Investigating any unusual transactions on a timely basis 9. Maintenance of fixed asset register
10. Assistance at bi-annual stock takes in the two clinics
11. Assist in the administration of the company monthly payroll for all staff
12. Ensure compliance with all Revenue Commissioner guidelines
13. Liaise with the Auditors in relation to the annual audit
14. Assist in preparation managements accounts and other reports for quarterly meetings
15. Preparation of financial & statistical reports when required
16. Assist in the annual budgeting process
