Description

Whytematter are currently working with an award winning family run insurance organisation. Working with the company as a Finance Officer/Analyst, you have the opportunity to work with a diverse and prestigious client base across the UK, utilising your effective communication, administrative and organisational skills to support the finance function of our Company.

On a daily basis, the company would expect you to showcase your skills and knowledge by:

  • pro-actively managing purchase ledgers and dealing with issues with insurers and staff;
  • ensuring the timely settlement of purchase invoices in line with payment deadlines;
  • maintaining an accurate audit trail of all postings;
  • ensuring all payments are made and recorded in line with relevant FCA regulations;
  • pro-actively managing company procedures including expenses and company credit

cards;

  • using keen attention to detail to identify and raise any anomalies in accounts as soon

as they arise;

  • continuing to develop professional skills and knowledge by observing tasks carried out

by colleagues;

  • demonstrating strong commercial awareness by always acting in the best interest of

the company;

  • organising the timely and accurate reconciliation of bank and supplier accounts;
  • demonstrating the highest standards of professional behaviour, with an understanding

of the necessity to act lawfully within a regulatory environment;

  • working in an efficient and organised manner to manage personal workloads and meet

deadlines;

  • keeping accurate client records and files at all times, including timely inputting of all

relevant data into our bespoke system;

  • building good working relationships with colleagues, Client Directors, Account

Executives and the wider Company team;

  • contributing to the achievement of team and business objectives, ensuring a high

standard of client service;

  • maintaining a high-level understanding of relevant regulatory requirements and best

practice through ongoing commitment to CPD.
