OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Officer to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the overall financial health of the organisation. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and a solid understanding of financial services.

Qualifications and skills required:

• Finance-related degree required. Other relevant qualifications considered.
• Minimum 2 – 3 years’ experience in a similar role required. On the job training available
• Solid knowledge of general financial and accounting practices
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Sharp time management skills
• Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data

• Plans, directs, and controls accounting and financial operations of finance department including delegation of tasks to junior staff.
• Prepare reports and documents covering accounting transactions for management review.
• Ensures that accurate records are kept by standard practices.
• Following up on outstanding refunds and payments.
• Keep accurate records for all daily transactions.
• Update internal systems with financial data.
• Reconcile accounts and business bank statements daily.
• Track bank deposits and payments.
• Assist with budget preparation.
• Resolve payment questions for external contractors.
• Record and maintain filing deadlines.
• Organise and maintain all the documentation in relation to VAT returns, VAT Settlements, PAYE and other transactional data.
• Resolve payment questions for external contractors and internal teams.
