WILL BE PART TIME DAYS OVER A NUMBER OF WEEKS - REMOTE WITH ADHOC TRAVEL TO LONDON.

The Finance Target Operating Model (TOM) Lead will be responsible for shaping, designing, and delivering the future-state finance organisation in a global law firm. This role ensures that finance is structured, resourced, and enabled to meet the strategic objectives of the business while driving efficiency, compliance, insight, and scalability.

Responsibilities
  • Finance TOM Design:
  • Define the end-to-end finance operating model (processes, people, technology, governance, data, and service delivery model).
  • Translate strategic objectives into practical design principles for finance.Align TOM with organisational strategy, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder expectations.


    • Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Work closely with CFO, finance leadership team, and business stakeholders to define requirements.
    • Facilitate workshops and secure buy-in across the organisation.Act as trusted advisor to senior leaders on finance transformation.


      • People & Organisation:

      • Define finance roles, responsibilities, and required capabilities under the TOM.
      • Shape the workforce plan including onshore/offshore mix, shared services, and centres of excellence.Support cultural change and upskilling programmes.


        • Governance & Controls:

        • Embed effective risk, compliance, and control frameworks in the TOM.Define reporting lines, accountability structures, and decision rights.


          • Programme Delivery:

          • Develop roadmap for TOM implementation, including dependencies, milestones, and success measures.
          • Ensure alignment with wider business transformation initiatives (HR, IT, Operations).
          • Track benefits realisation and continuously refine the operating model.
