ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance & Operations Assistant to join the back-office team at The Nunhead Gardener.
This is a full-time role that supports the Finance Manager with day-to-day financial administration and business reporting, while also assisting the wider operations and marketing teams. It’s a varied position well-suited to someone who enjoys working with systems, numbers, and people, and is keen to learn more about the inner workings of a thriving independent business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Finance Support
· Upload supplier purchase orders and maintain accurate supplier records
· Process sales data, receipts, and HTA paper vouchers
· Assist with scanning and archiving invoices
· Support weekly cash counting procedures and bank activity tracking
· Assist with the monthly accruals/prepayments balance sheet reconciliations.
Buying & Reporting
· Maintain and update the Supplier Order Tracker
· Produce weekly buying reports and stock analysis
· Analyse sales trends to support stock replenishment decisions
· Support with the preparation and review of supplier orders
Marketing & Web Support
· Assist with uploading product information to the webshop
· Process loyalty card sign-ups and manage mailing list integration
· Help maintain customer records for Trustpilot and newsletter outreach
Operations Support
· Support the Operations Manager with project implementation
· Take and circulate meeting minutes as required
· Assist with delivery processing and ensure sundries are sent out weekly
· Provide general admin and warehouse support as needed
