ROLE OVERVIEW
We’re looking for an eager and ambitious finance-first junior professional who will support our core financial processes and help drive operational excellence across the company. You’ll work closely with the Chief of Staff, taking ownership of the day-to-day financial backbone (payments, expenses, reporting) while also supporting HR, legal, and strategic projects.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to grow into a Finance & Ops Manager role in a scaling startup, and for you who is; interested in understanding and analyzing numbers, are detail oriented, and not easily overwhelmed by multitasking cross functional projects simultaneously. You will have plenty of independence and responsibility to ensure processes work and iteratively improve them continuously. Expect to spend 70% of your time with finance & numbers-driven work, and 30% operations, HR, legal, and special projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Work directly with the Chief of Staff and case by case have close collaboration with the rest of the leadership team.
Financial support: Be the “first responder” on internal finance questions. Manage daily finance processes (invoicing, expenses, company payments) supported by our accountants, deliver input for financial reports to leadership/investors, and contribute to budget planning and performance tracking with guidance.
Project Management: Support important projects under the CoS’s guidance. Exercise initiative through flagging improvement areas across the company.
HR & Legal: Work with the CoS and CEO to ensure business & legal needs are met. Support in recruitment and payroll as well as creating policies, procedures and templates that are up to date and in line with collective agreements and local laws. You will help in identifying gaps, challenges and opportunities as well as bringing insights and recommendations in order to improve organization and overall employee experience.
