Description
Financial Operations Business Partner Te whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity Within a global finance operations team committed to operational excellence and amplifying value, the Finance Business Partner will work closely with Financial Controllers, Business Managers and subsidiary boards across a portfolio of entities, as an integral member of a centralised finance function. Blending control and compliance, the role will provide financial reporting, analysis, interpretation and insights, which will ultimately contribute to executive decision making. Financial control aspects will include preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts for the Corporate business, incorporating detailed variance analysis against plan and forecast and highlighting key insights into financial performance. The role will contribute to business planning and reforecasting, manage audit processes, ensure compliance with local legal and technical requirements in each jurisdiction, and support the development of transfer pricing best practice within a new ERP system. Reviewing the Corporate cost base and providing recommendations to senior management will also be central to influencing forward strategy. The role will support the optimisation of cost management across the group with clear accountabilities, governance, and measurement. Recommend, implement and maintain process improvements. Establishing positive partnering relationships cross-functionally will strengthen opportunities to add value — by asking questions, testing thinking and sharing insights, intelligence and ideas, always through a continuous improvement lens. As the key contact and ‘face of finance’ for the Corporate business, the position will also work closely with other corporate business partners to deliver a coordinated, trusted and forward‑looking advisory service. This role is for a 12 month fixed-term. Ko wai koe | About you CA qualified and with a strong grounding in financial accounting—ideally from a professional services background—you’re ready to step into a role where you can demonstrate your value, continue learning, and contribute to a culture of operational excellence through ownership, accountability and consistent delivery. Analytical and detail‑focused, you understand the importance of data integrity and can translate numbers into meaningful insights for business managers and teams. Curious and commercially minded, you naturally question the ‘why’ and look for opportunities to improve processes, information flows and communication. You are an advocate for positive change and comfortable leading and supporting team members across regions. You bring confidence and capability across the core responsibilities of the role: analysing monthly management accounts and variance insights, supporting transfer pricing development in a new ERP system, reviewing the Corporate cost base, and acting as the key finance contact for the Corporate business line. You also demonstrate the behavioural attributes essential to success—mentoring finance professionals, building strong cross‑functional partnerships, and driving continuous improvement in reporting, analysis and ERP‑based controls.
