We are currently seeking an experienced and talented Finance Operations Manager to join our high performing team. This is a key operational finance role with visibility across the business and the opportunity to drive process improvements and team performance.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in industry, with at least 1 to 2 years of team management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience using ERPs and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • A relevant accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is required.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the Accounts Payable team to ensure all financial transactions are processed accurately and promptly, including subcontractor and supplier payments.
  • Ensure accurate period-end cost accruals and oversee processes and records for managing plant, material, subcontractor ledgers, and expense payments.
  • Manage working capital and cash flow to support business operations:
  • Oversee the AR process in collaboration with the commercial team, ensuring timely client certification, invoicing, and payment in line with credit terms.
  • Coordinate payroll, supplier, and subcontractor payments in line with due dates and group policy.
  • Oversee AP-related month-end and year-end close tasks, ensuring timely and accurate journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations in line with group reporting timetables.
  • Manage RCT obligations for subcontractors and support the Financial Reporting Manager with other tax and statutory filings as needed.
  • Support the Group Financial Controller and Finance Director with budgeting, forecasting, and broader financial planning activities.
  • Support external audits by preparing and providing required documentation and explanations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance finance function efficiency, internal controls, and governance.
  • Perform other duties as required from time to time.
