Tasks

• Be responsible for the establishment and continuous development of our financial processes and controlling systems throughout the company.
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Handle invoice processing, documentation management, and expense tracking.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Develop and maintain financial controlling processes.
• Take ownership of finance reporting tasks, ensuring accurate and efficient financial reporting to support strategic decision-making. Build and optimise reporting processes, either from scratch or by improving existing structures.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Collect and analyse KPIs on a regular basis to monitor performance and provide actionable insights.
• Ensure compliance with German accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Collaborate with external tax advisors and auditors.
• Implement and optimise financial tools and workflows to improve efficiency.
• Directly report to the Co-Founder & CPO of Recyda.

Requirements

• Background in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting/controlling.
• Strong knowledge of German accounting principles (HGB).
• Experience in financial administration including accounts payable/receivable, invoice processing, and receipt management. Proficient in accounting software and digital bookkeeping systems (e.g., SevDesk, DATEV, Chargebee). Strong background in handling day-to-day financial operations and documentation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Organisational talent with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German (Native speaker) and English (B1-Level).
• Startup experience is a plus.
• Passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and making a positive impact.
