Description We are seeking a systems-focused accounting professional to manage key financial activities while leading the health and financial integrity of our ERP (NetSuite) environment by driving process and technology improvements. This role blends hands-on financial support with strategic system thinking — ensuring transactions flow smoothly and accurately through NetSuite, troubleshooting breaks, and designing better processes to enable reliable financial and operational reporting. This person will be a key leader in developing the finance team strategy and advance how the Finance team works by streamlining workflows, identifying automation opportunities, and deepen our integration with AI tools that improve efficiency across Finance and other departments. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Finance Operations Lead treasury management activities with our banking partners, including international and domestic payments, merchant processing, and other banking support. Oversee sales tax compliance, including nexus monitoring, rate updates, return review, and reconciliations. Special projects to support technology integration within the finance and accounting team. Support Controller with month-end close and year-end audit. NetSuite System Ownership & Data Flow Serve as the primary NetSuite point of contact for the finance team and companywide. Monitor and ensure transactions flow correctly through the system; troubleshoot and resolve data issues, misclassifications, and data system flow. Partner with Operations to design or refine new process flows in NetSuite to improve data reliability, accuracy, and scalability. Investigate system-wide or transaction-level anomalies and implement sustainable solutions. Oversight of SKU/item setup and review to align with accounting, reporting, and operational needs. Process Innovation & Technology Advancement Continuously improve accounting workflows by identifying automation opportunities within NetSuite. Partner with the Controller and CFO to evaluate and implement AI-driven efficiencies, such as automating reconciliations, streamlining reporting, or supporting other teams’ AI initiatives that rely on financial data or ERP integration. Stay informed on NetSuite feature releases, add-ons, and best practices to keep the system reliable, scalable, and forward-looking. Requirements Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. CPA preferred. 6-8+ years in accounting/finance with strong NetSuite experience (system admin or “super user” preferred). Experience with process improvement or systems projects; exposure to AI/automation tools a plus. Skills & Competencies Strong accounting foundation with a process improvement mindset. Advanced NetSuite skills — saved searches, workflows, custom fields, reporting, dashboards, integrations, and configuration. Analytical and detail-oriented; able to diagnose and solve complex system/data issues. Comfortable exploring and adopting new AI or automation tools. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Experience with inventory as a GAAP concept, as well as being able to own how it moves through our ERP.
