Finance Professional Services - Central Full time, continuing position Base salary will be in the range $102,565 - $111,686 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 7) Based at our St Lucia location About This Opportunity We are seeking a motivated Finance Partner (known locally as the Management Accountant) to join our finance advisory team at the University of Queensland. The role is supporting the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) portfolio responsible for upholding high quality teaching and learning, promoting a culture of excellence across the student experience, and leading initiatives aimed at student success and retention, integration of services for students and quality standards. Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant (SMA), you'll play a crucial role in delivering sound financial analysis, supporting commentary and advice to senior leaders and stakeholders to inform financial planning, budgeting and forecasting. Key responsibilities will include: Providing financial advice to chief investigators and leaders. Helping them to make informed decisions regarding cost management and optimal utilisation of funding. Building and maintaining strong working relationships and acting as a trusted financial advisor, managing the escalation of key client issues that require expertise, input and/or approval. Applying financial processes, governance frameworks, and policy controls to ensure ongoing compliance with university and external regulations. Facilitating seamless communication between the finance advisory and finance transaction services team. Offering expertise on financial policy matters and enhancing team performance. Experience working in professional financial advisory and/or service delivery functions in complex stakeholder and policy environments. Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with key stakeholders and clients and apply sound problem solving and communication skills to influence and achieve outcomes. Ability to provide strategically aligned operational financial advice and solutions, and partner with clients to achieve desired outcomes and results. Progress towards or membership of a professional institution (CPA / CA or equivalent).
