A leading specialist recruitment firm in NYC is seeking a Principal Recruitment Consultant to join its high-performing Quantitative Finance desk. This is a key strategic hire, offering the opportunity to work with some of the most sophisticated clients in global financial markets, including hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, and top-tier investment institutions. You’ll be stepping into a well-established market with strong existing relationships, while also having the autonomy to further grow and shape your desk. Employment Type: Full-time permanent Location: New York City, NY Compensation: $80,000-100,000 base + uncapped commission What You'll Do: Manage and develop a full recruitment desk within the Quantitative Finance market. Build and maintain relationships with leading clients across hedge funds, quantitative trading firms, and investment institutions. Deliver high-quality candidates across areas such as: Quantitative Researchers, Quantitative Traders, Quantitative Developers, and Risk & Model Validation. Proactively source, headhunt, and engage top-tier quantitative talent. Drive new business development and expand existing client accounts. Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from initial briefing through to placement and post-placement care. Target Clients / Market Exposure: You should be comfortable operating at the top end of the market, engaging with organizations such as: Top-tier global investment institutions Leading hedge funds Proprietary trading firms Systematic and quantitative investment firms Requirements What You'll Bring: Minimum 2+ years’ experience in recruitment (ideally within Quant, Finance, or a closely related market). Stable career history (approximately 2 years per role preferred). Proven track record of consistent billings and revenue generation. Strong understanding of the quantitative finance landscape and key market dynamics. Demonstrated ability to win and manage client relationships. Confidence in headhunting high-calibre, niche talent.
