We are recruiting for a Financial Reporting and Accounting Manager to join us on an interim basis to lead a team of two Direct Reports.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • Qualified Accountant with extensive post qualified experience, including experience in a similar role within a multinational Group environment
  • Experience leading year-end statutory accounts preparation and audits for a consolidated Group and standalone legal entities
  • Experience of UK and international tax compliance (Corporation Tax, Transfer Pricing and VAT) including support with returns preparation and reviews
  • Experience of managing high-performing teams
  • Detail oriented, constantly challenging processes, ability to explain complex finance and accounting matters to a non-finance audience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel; experience of SAP and Power BI is a plus
  • Relevant experience working within a Consumer Goods business would be an advantage

Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, responsible for leading monthly and annual financial reporting and tax compliance for the Joseph Joseph group.
  • Lead the month-end accounting close and financial reporting the Group
  • Lead preparation of consolidated Group and UK operating legal entity statutory accounts
  • Oversee statutory audits for UK and overseas legal entities, ensuring all data requirements and controls are in place
  • Lead Corporation Tax and VAT compliance for the Group – including ownership of Transfer Pricing processes and Intercompany contracts and transactions. In addition, provide support with ongoing assessment of Group legal entity structure
  • Provide technical accounting guidance to finance and operating teams; drafting and implementing Accounting policies where required
  • Take a fresh-eyes perspective to identify and implement process improvements and best practices optimising data analytics
  • Additional ad hoc tasks as required
