We are seeking a self-starting, detail-oriented Finance SSC Manager to join our team in Malaysia. This Malaysia-based role will dedicate their time to supporting U.S. accounting operations and lead a small team of finance professionals. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage finance shared service operations such as transaction processing (AR/AP reconciliation) and general accounts reporting while ensuring consistent quality, accuracy, and timeliness Own month-end and year-end close processes for assigned entities, ensuring adherence to close timelines, accounting standards, and internal controls Develop deep knowledge of the company’s ERP systems and end-to-end finance processes, applying this expertise to daily operations and team oversight Drive finance process transitions and stabilization activities, including the migration, redesign, and documentation of accounting workflows Serve as the primary escalation point for complex accounting issues, independently researching root causes, validating data, and guiding the team toward effective resolutions Partner closely with U.S.-based finance leadership and global stakeholders to support accounting projects, system enhancements, and process improvements Review and approve reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting policies Oversee audit, review, and internal reporting support, ensuring timely preparation of schedules, documentation, and responses to auditor inquiries Establish, maintain, and continuously improve SOPs, process documentation, and control frameworks across shared service activities Monitor workload distribution, task completion, and SLA adherence within workflow and task management systems Mentor and develop shared services team members, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement Qualifications Minimum of 6–8 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including experience within a shared services or centralized finance environment Prior experience managing or leading finance teams, including performance management and process oversight Proactive in exploring and applying AI, automation, and workflow tools to improve finance operations, reduce manual effort, and enhance scalability Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex accounting scenarios Demonstrated ability to independently research technical accounting matters and guide appropriate solutions Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for reconciliations, analysis, and management reporting Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Sage Intacct or similar cloud-based systems preferred) Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with global teams Tech-savvy, adaptable, and comfortable leading change across systems, tools, and processes Experience working in or supporting Malaysia-based shared service operations is preferred WHY JOIN US: Be part of a global sports brand with strong growth potential in Asia.
