Description
We are on a mission to become the leading international force in residential property management. What we do matters to billions of people in their everyday lives. Residential real estate is the world’s largest asset class, and for most families, buying a home is the single biggest financial decision they will ever make. For too long, residential property management has fallen short of homeowners' and residents' expectations, and the industry is ready for change. Odevo was formed to make that change happen. In just six years, Odevo has grown more than 70-fold, establishing us as the leading international player. We are more than 12,000 people across the US, the UK, the Nordics, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Mexico, and Italy building Odevo. Together, we aspire to break new ground through innovation and cultivate a workplace where we help each other succeed, where ideas matter more than titles, and where kindness is a strength. By combining the power of people and technology, we set a new standard for how homes are managed. Our technology-enabled services simplify living for residents and create a better experience for property owners and boards. Our ambition is to continue our fast-growing journey through new customers, service expansion, and by partnering with great companies that share our mindset and ambition, both in existing and new markets. As we continue to grow, we stay true to who we are, challenge unnecessary bureaucracy, and keep decision-making close to our customers. If you share our mindset and ambition, we’d love you to join us and help accelerate our mission together. About the role As our finance operations scale, so does the complexity of the systems and controls that underpin them. We are now building the function that bridges finance and technology — and this role sits at the center of it As Finance Solutions Lead, you are the link between Finance and IT Operations at Odevo. You own two things: making sure the controls, processes, and governance frameworks across our finance systems are properly designed and functioning — and leading the consolidation of our ERP landscape onto Business Central, market by market. This is not a purely technical role, nor a purely finance one. You need to understand financial processes well enough to design the right controls, and understand systems well enough to implement and govern them. You will work across Group Finance, IT Operations, Financial Control, and local opco teams, and you report to the Head of Group Financial Control, with a dotted line to the SVP IT Operations. Key Responsibilities Finance-IT governance and controls Own the interface between Finance and IT Operations: ensure finance system processes, access controls, and change management routines are properly designed, documented, and operating effectively. Define and maintain IT General Controls across finance systems — covering access management (SoD, role design, MFA), change control, and system availability — for both compliance and operational integrity. Bring a clear point of view on how AI should shape finance system design going forward — from how controls are configured and monitored, to how the Business Central product roadmap evolves. We are not looking for enthusiasm about AI in the abstract; we want someone who can translate it into concrete decisions about what we build, what we automate, and where human judgment stays in the loop. Support SOX readiness and broader internal control frameworks as Odevo's compliance requirements evolve; work with Financial Control and external auditors as needed. Maintain a control register for finance systems; identify gaps, drive remediation, and track status across markets. Collaborate with IT Operations to ensure finance requirements are reflected in infrastructure decisions, security policies, and vendor management. IT service management Act as formal system owner for Business Central: maintain system documentation and configuration records, manage the user license estate, and represent the system in IT governance forums and audit reviews. Own the review and approval process for Business Central release waves and hotfixes — scope what changes are applied, coordinate user acceptance testing with finance stakeholders, and enforce change freeze periods around month-end and period close. Own and maintain the Business Central product roadmap: work with Group Finance, local opco teams, and the implementation partner to prioritize enhancements, manage the development backlog, and communicate planned changes and timelines to stakeholders across the group. Chair regular IT-Finance service review meetings: monitor support ticket volumes and resolution times against agreed SLAs, act as the finance-side escalation point for production issues, and drive problem management for recurring system failures. Serve as the finance-side contact for major incidents affecting finance systems -coordinate the finance response during outages, participate in post-incident reviews, and track remediation actions to completion. Manage the relationship with the Business Central implementation and support partner: review delivery against statements of work, conduct regular performance reviews, and ensure the partner roadmap aligns with Odevo’s priorities. Represent Finance in IT steering and planning forums, ensuring finance system priorities are incorporated into the technology roadmap ahead of annual budgeting and resource allocation cycles. ERP consolidation program Lead the rollout of Business Central across Odevo's operating companies — scoping, configuration, data migration, testing, training, and go-live. Define and steward the group ERP template: core process design, and configuration standards that balance group consistency with local operational realities. Manage rollouts across multiple markets in parallel, coordinating local finance teams, Group Technology, and external implementation partners. Maintain system documentation and process description Application owner BC Integrate acquired companies onto Business Central post-close, working with the M&A team to assess legacy landscapes and plan transitions. Manage integrations between Business Central and adjacent tools including AARO, FloQast and our internal Odevo Datawarehouse. Who you are You are equally at home in a controls review conversation and an ERP configuration session. You understand why segregation of duties matters and how to enforce it in Business Central. You can run a project, manage competing priorities across markets, and bring skeptical local teams along with you. You are the kind of person who notices when the Finance-IT boundary creates a gap — and closes it before it becomes a problem. You communicate clearly across functions, translate between finance language and technical language, and build trust with stakeholders who have different priorities and incentives. Required qualifications Proven experience with Business Central (D365 BC) — implementation, configuration, or system ownership. Solid understanding of IT General Controls: access management, change control, SoD, and how these are designed and tested in a finance systems context. Strong grounding in core financial processes — period close, AP, AR, consolidation — and how they translate into system controls and configuration. Demonstrated project management capability across multi-entity or multi-market environments. Ability to work effectively across finance, IT, and operational teams. Preferred qualifications Experience supporting SOX compliance or equivalent internal control frameworks. Background in a PE-backed, acquisition-driven, or multi-opco environment. Post-acquisition ERP integration experience. What we offer A role with genuine ownership at a critical moment — you will shape how finance systems are governed and operated across an international group. Direct visibility with senior finance and technology leadership. Broad scope: controls, compliance, ERP delivery, and M&A integration all in one role. Strong development opportunities as Odevo's finance function matures and scales toward its 2030 ambitions. Sounds like you? Apply today! #msl
