Responsibilities

This role is part of Global Licensing’s Commercial Inbound team, consisting primarily of leading contract negotiations with external partners. Other activities include supporting internal stakeholders from various SAP Executive Board areas: Global Finance & Accounting, Customer Success, Product Engineering and Technology & Innovation. Our efforts also include initiatives and projects to improve, simplify and standardize the existing processes in the Commercial Inbound Licensing Management team.
The Position reports to the Licensing Management Co-Lead, based in Prague, who is the Commercial Inbound Team Manager.

Specific tasks include the following:

  • Negotiate inbound third-party agreements, which includes presenting templates to potential partners, providing clarifications, aligning and coordinating internal teams, and owning the responsive-redline
  • Review third-party agreements and/or online terms and assess them against the SAP standard terms & conditions
  • Prepare & present approval requests, risk assessments and mitigation plans, in close cooperation with other stakeholders
  • Perform reviews of existing agreements, in support of Licensing Validation requests
  • Provide guidance regarding Commercial Inbound Licensing-related processes and policies, to internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate and execute special and complex ad-hoc tasks
  • Manage the contract life-cycle, including drafting and executing amendments, handling terminations, renewals, supporting partners with general contract administration topics, etc.
  • The role will entail taking ownership of a portfolio of existing and new partner agreements
  • Support defined projects across Global Licensing & Royalty Management, taking over work packages and workstreams
