This role is for one of our clients Industry: Financial Services Seniority level: Mid-Senior level Min Experience: 3 years Location: Bengaluru JobType: full-time \n \n We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Associate to support the build-out and scaling of robust accounting, reporting, and control frameworks within a fast-growing, regulated financial environment. This role plays a key part in strengthening in-house finance capabilities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering accurate, timely financial insights for internal and external stakeholders. You will work closely with trading, operations, and external advisors, gaining hands-on exposure to broker-dealer operations, financial products, and evolving regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Reporting Manage end-to-end accounting activities including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting under US GAAP, IFRS, or Ind AS Prepare and review periodic financial statements, disclosures, and management reports for regulated financial entities Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial data across legal entities Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including audit preparation Regulatory & Compliance Support Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory reports in line with applicable frameworks (including NFA or equivalent) Support capital adequacy, liquidity, and compliance reporting requirements Maintain documentation, internal controls, and audit trails for regulatory and internal reviews Controls, Processes & Systems Design, document, and enhance finance processes, policies, and internal control frameworks Drive automation and standardization across accounting and reporting workflows Work hands-on with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Trading, Trade Operations, Treasury, and Settlement teams to understand trade flows and financial impact Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations related to trading activity, settlements, and balances Coordinate with external auditors, consultants, and advisors to support audits and regulatory interactions Growth & Ownership Take ownership across accounting, reporting, treasury, and settlement-related activities as the organization scales Build expertise in broker-dealer accounting, regulatory reporting, and financial products Continuously improve finance operations to support a dynamic, high-growth environment What Success Looks Like Accurate, timely, and audit-ready financial reporting Scalable, well-documented finance processes and control frameworks Strong collaboration with trading and operations teams enabling smooth reconciliations and settlements High internal confidence in financial data used for decision-making Growing expertise in regulatory, accounting, and operational finance Required Qualifications Education & Experience Graduate degree in Accounting or Finance; CA / CPA preferred 3–8 years of experience in finance or accounting within banking, broker-dealer, financial services, or other regulated environments Exposure to regulatory reporting; experience with capital and liquidity reporting is a strong advantage Technical & Functional Skills Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS Hands-on experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or equivalent) Understanding of the end-to-end trade lifecycle, including settlements and market operations Advanced proficiency in MS Excel for financial analysis and reporting Personal Attributes High ownership, accountability, and attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Clear written and verbal communication skills Curiosity and willingness to learn across finance, fintech, and emerging financial technologies Key Skills US GAAP & IFRS Financial & Regulatory Reporting Broker-Dealer Accounting Internal Controls & Process Design ERP Systems (NetSuite / Oracle / SAP)
