JOB OVERVIEW:

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is seeking a strategic and results-driven Finance Systems Business Analyst to support the digital evolution of our Finance function. Reporting to the Senior Manager, FinTech Evolution, this role will provide analytical, research, and process expertise to optimize Finance processes and supporting technologies. The successful candidate will champion an agile mindset, promoting continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) for Finance and technology innovations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, IT, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, with 5+ years in SAP S4HANA (Finance, Master Data modeling, workflow).
• Strong analytical and results-oriented mindset; able to work in a fast-paced environment across multiple projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, Project).
• Preferred experience in regulated industries such as utilities, energy, power, mining, or public sector.
• Experience with data sets, metrics, dashboards, and reporting.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Microsoft Power BI, Python, and SQL is an asset.
• Experience in reconciliation processes, business analysis, and financial reporting.
• High integrity and commitment to corporate values and the OPG Code of Business Conduct.

NICE TO HAVE:

• Experience with SAP Close, Financial Consolidation, and Elimination Process in S4HANA using Fiori, SAC, and CDS Views.
• Knowledge of Accounts Payables, Fixed Asset Management, and Project System Controlling.

• Lead analysis and documentation of Finance business processes, including process flow diagrams and supporting narratives.
• Identify opportunities to enhance Finance performance through process optimization, metrics, and benchmarks.
• Support business process re-engineering and transformation initiatives.
