Description

Citadel Source are delighted to be working on an exclusive basis with a high-impact, mission-led organisation to recruit a Finance Systems Implementation Manager on a fixed-term contract. This role represents a fantastic opportunity to lead on a business-critical transformation project, while also providing essential support to the finance function during a period of change. This is a hybrid role based near Bristol, offering the chance to make a tangible difference across the business by delivering a new integrated finance system that will support future growth, efficiency, and control.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

This is a dual-purpose role:

  • Leading the implementation of a new integrated finance system, ensuring the organisation achieves maximum benefit from the change;
  • Supporting business-as-usual finance operations during the implementation phase to maintain continuity and control.

AS A FINANCE SYSTEMS IMPLEMENTATION MANAGER, YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

  • Lead and manage finance system implementation in collaboration with the system supplier, internal project teams, and finance colleagues
  • Support supplier selection through expert input on systems, architecture, and control requirements
  • Manage configuration discussions to ensure optimal future workflows and reporting outputs
  • Analyse current and future state processes, working with suppliers to align them with system capabilities
  • Oversee data migration: ensure quality and integrity of migrated data and validate successful transfer
  • Lead on the design and implementation of a new chart of accounts to support internal and external reporting needs
  • Plan and manage user acceptance testing (UAT), including test scripts and issue resolution
  • Support integration of third-party systems into the finance platform and lead on resolution of technical issues
  • Create user-friendly documentation, process guides and training materials
  • Develop a cutover and go-live plan that balances transformation needs with operational continuity
  • Champion adoption and embed new ways of working across finance and the wider organisation
  • Contribute to lessons learned reviews and post-implementation improvements
  • Support the finance team with operational tasks to free up capacity for others to focus on the project
