SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Strong knowledge of Xero, Google Sheets and Excel (advanced level preferred)
  • Previous experience and capability of compiling monthly and annual management accounts
  • Experience with reconciliations (customers, suppliers and bank)
  • Hands-on experience of sales and purchase ledger processes in a high-volume environment
  • Customer invoicing and credit control experience
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work at pace and manage competing priorities
  • Leadership experience (formal or informal) with the ability to support and develop others
  • MAAT or equivalent

Responsibilities
  • Overseeing all aspects of sales, purchase and nominal ledgers, including reconciliations
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Managing and supporting the finance/admin function
  • Designing, improving and managing finance processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy
  • Preparing, recording and reconciling all financial transactions in a timely manner
  • Customer invoicing and credit control
  • Supplier invoice processing and weekly payment runs
  • Managing “back-to-back” transactions where each customer booking generates related supplier costs
  • Ensuring strong relationships with customers and suppliers through timely, accurate communication
  • Leading on problem-solving and implementing improvements in systems and processes
