We currently have an opportunity for Finance Team Manager to join our NZ Government & Infrastructure Management team and play a key role in driving the success of their accounting services team. Reporting to Manager Accounting Services you’ll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.
The Team Manager drives the success of the accounting services team by leading people, optimizing processes, and ensuring key performance indicators are met. They focus on team management, reporting, budgeting, process improvement, and stakeholder communication to align with business objectives.

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

• Lead the Accounting Services team for the respective division to enable successful delivery of quality services. Owning the performance and output of the team.
• Establish and promote a high-performance culture, fostering continuous development and capability uplift within the team.
• Oversee the team’s daily operations to ensure accurate recording of revenues, expenditures, assets, and liabilities while maintaining compliance with accounting standards and ensuring timely financial reporting.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, providing financial insights and clear communication on accounting matters.
• Strict adherence to deadlines and compliance requirements across the team.
• Ensure team’s capabilities are appropriate to achieve business goals, identify resource and skill gaps and develop strategies to bridge gaps.
