Finance Transformation Associate Director

Want to lead finance transformation projects that genuinely change how businesses operate? We’re working with a leading accountancy and advisory firm looking for an experienced Finance Transformation Associate Director to join its growing consulting practice. This is a senior, client-facing role combining finance transformation, project leadership and business development. You’ll work with ambitious businesses to modernise their finance functions, improve processes, implement technology and design operating models that are fit for the future.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex Finance Transformation engagements from initial scoping through to delivery
• Work directly with CFOs and senior finance leaders to understand challenges and identify opportunities for improvement
• Review and redesign core finance processes across FP&A, R2R, P2P and O2C
• Design and implement Finance Target Operating Models
• Lead finance technology, ERP, automation and process improvement projects
• Facilitate workshops, challenge existing ways of working and translate findings into practical solutions
• Lead client relationships, project teams and multiple workstreams
• Play a significant role in business development, identifying opportunities and helping grow the Finance Transformation offering

Qualifications

• Ideally ACA, ACCA, CIMA, AAT or equivalent finance qualification

Required Skills

• You’ll already have substantial experience delivering Finance Transformation projects, ideally gained within professional services, consulting or a combination of consulting and industry.
• Strong experience leading large-scale Finance Transformation programmes
• Experience across process redesign, technology transformation and/or operating model change
• A strong understanding of what best-in-class finance processes look like
• Experience designing or implementing Finance Target Operating Models
• Confidence leading client workshops and engaging senior stakeholders
• The ability to identify problems, challenge constructively and recommend practical solutions
• A commercial mindset and appetite for business development

Preferred Skills

• Ideally ACA, ACCA, CIMA, AAT or equivalent finance qualification
