Job Title: Finance Transformation Consultant
Position Type: Contract – 12 Months (full-time hours – potential for extension)
Location: Hybrid (3 days in office required at either Waterloo, Mississauga, or Toronto location).
Description & Responsibilities
Our client is seeking a Finance Transformation Consultant to support their finance transformation efforts during a critical ERP integration project. This role serves as a product owner within the finance transformation, ensuring business requirements are thoroughly extracted, mapped, and executed while maintaining alignment across multiple workstreams. The consultant will play a key role in identifying and addressing finance-related impacts, managing competing project demands, and ensuring the end-to-end success of the integration.

EXPERIENCE:

Senior Manager-level experience, with a background in accounting or finance transformation or integrations.
Experience as a product owner or having participated in large-scale integrations .
Familiarity with large ERP platforms and process mapping is highly desirable.

SKILLS:

Strong ability to extract and analyze business requirements from multiple inputs.
Adaptability to handle a high volume of simultaneous project demands and operate effectively in dynamic environments.
Understanding of finance operations, and accounting processes

Responsibilities

Extract and document business requirements to support the ERP integration.
Develop and manage mapping tables, ensuring an understanding of end-to-end finance processes.
Conduct impact assessments and testing, wearing a “finance hat” to ensure alignment with finance needs.
Act as a liaison between stakeholders, guiding requirements and ensuring the delivery of workable solutions.
Adapt to a high volume of incoming project needs, ensuring prioritization and progress across multiple workstreams.
Collaborate with project sponsors, product owners, and external partners to align deliverables.
Ensure successful financial data integration , including areas like policy and billing.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA would be considered an asset.
