About The Role


Our client is a NSW Government organisation based in Parramatta NSW. They are currently seeking a Finance Transformation Lead to come in and work with them on a 6 month temp contract with potential extension on offer.


Requirements for this role include:


  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Financial discipline (Accounting, Business or Information Systems)
  • Strong knowledge of management accounting, cost allocation and financial planning processes
  • Extensive demonstrated experience in finance transformation, finance business partnering, management accounting, finance operations, ERP implementation or large-scale business transformation
  • Utilities industry experience (Highly regarded)
  • Experience working with platforms like Microsoft D365 and TM1 (Highly regarded)

Key Responsibilities include:


  • EFM Transformation Leadership: Direct the design and delivery of the Enterprise Financial Management program to meet organisational, operational, and regulatory goals.
  • Operating Model & Process Transformation: Drive the redesign, standardisation, and business adoption of future-state financial processes and operating models.
  • Cost Attribution & Transparency: Establish consistent cost attribution methodologies and decision-support frameworks to clarify cost-to-serve and cost-to-deliver.
  • Asset & Investment Integration: Integrate project, asset, and financial management practices to improve lifecycle visibility and investment oversight.
  • Systems & Data Governance: Partner with Digital teams as the business owner for finance systems to enhance data governance, integration, and automation.
  • Governance, Policy & Controls: Develop and embed financial policies, internal controls, and standards to ensure compliance, auditability, and clear accountability.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Change Leadership: Lead cross-functional alignment across Finance, Operations, and Digital to drive organisational change and capability building.
  • Program Delivery & Benefits Realisation: Partner with program managers and vendors to mitigate risks, resolve issues, and ensure long-term efficiency and transparency benefits.
