Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare month-end journals and support the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting.
Maintain balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving reconciling items to ensure strong financial controls.
Analyse financial results against budget, forecast and prior periods, providing commentary on key variances and performance drivers.
Manage the Trade Fixed Asset Register, ensuring assets are accurately capitalised, depreciated and disposed of in accordance with accounting and tax requirements.
Support half-year and year-end audit processes, including preparation of schedules and responding to auditor requests.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, Group policies and reporting requirements.
Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Merchandise and Marketing to provide accounting support and insights.
Contribute to process improvement, automation and reporting enhancement initiatives that improve efficiency, control and business visibility.
Responsibilities
You are a proactive accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and combining strong technical accounting skills with business partnership.You will bring:Degree qualification in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.
CA or CPA qualification (or working towards completion).
Minimum 3 years' experience in accounting, financial reporting or a similar finance role.
Experience with month-end processes, balance sheet reconciliations and audit support.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP and financial reporting systems.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
A continuous improvement mindset and interest in leveraging automation and technology to drive efficiencies.
