The Opportunity: As a Financial Accountant, you'll be responsible for accounting processes in Belron NZ; taking ownership of the financial statements and ensuring the most appropriate financial accounting treatment, financial processes, practices and systems are utilised to produce accurate and valuable financial information to support the Business and ensure the Company meets its Group and Regulatory Reporting and Financial Compliance requirements. Collaborate closely with the business and the Finance team (including the Financial Controller) to shape and execute Belron NZ’s financial strategy in line with the overall strategic plan. This pivotal role involves delivering authoritative financial advice, influencing senior stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and best practices. Key responsibilities include business partnering, reporting, financial analysis, risk assessment, financial planning, budgeting, and contribute effectively to driving performance. Location: NZ Support Office & DC (1 Carmont Place, Mount Wellington, Auckland 1060) Hours: 40 hours, Monday - Friday What we’re looking for: You will be either qualified or working towards becoming a fully qualified CA/CPA who has experience in end-to-end accounting. Relevant tertiary qualification and at least 2 years of post-qualification accounting experience gained within a similar role. Comprehensive working knowledge of accounting standards including best practice with all aspects of typical BAU of an accounting department. Experience in and working knowledge of NZ taxation regime including the ability to prepare and submit business filings. Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing and adhering to procedures. Group reporting experience is desirable as well and experience working with D365 FinOps or Xero would be advantageous. At a minimum, a high level of competency utilising spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting. Previous exposure to Power BI is advantageous Ability to work under time pressure and handle deadlines associated with monthly, quarterly and yearly demands. Excellent communication skills and confident talking to senior leaders. Experience of working successfully with people across business groups to achieve clear outcomes. Proven attention to detail.
