As a Financial Accountant in our Financial Controller Department you’ll make an impact by providing accounting services and support for the consolidated entity of Bendigo and Adelaide Bank along with several of its subsidiaries and related entities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • maintenance and recording of data within accounting systems.
  • establishment and documentation of accounting and record keeping processes.
  • completion of monthly reconciliation processes.
  • preparation of monthly and annual Financial Statements, including relevant Board Reports.

We’re seeking people who will also show:

  • Development of continuous improvement aimed at reducing operational risk.
  • Development and maintenance of relationships with key stakeholders.

This is a permanent full-time position. We offer flexible work options that put our people first, and a hybrid model of minimum two days per week based out of our Bendigo , Melbourne, Adelaide, or Sydney corporate office.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

To succeed in this role, we’d love you to have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance or Business
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and applying them accurately
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft applications
  • Take initiative, demonstrate motivation and drive
  • Continuous improvement mindset with ability to consider risk

While not essential, it would be great if you had:

  • Membership of a professional accounting body (CA/CPA)
