Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Biesse Group UK is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Accountant to join our Finance team in Daventry. This role has a strong focus on balance sheet reconciliations while ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS. You will play a key part in the monthly close process, support audits, and contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of our financial reporting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations (main focus of the role).
  • Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS standards.
  • Review and approve Concur expense claims, liaising with business areas as needed.
  • Support the audit process, providing required documentation and analysis.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, including Kyriba cashflow matching.
  • Complete intercompany cash pooling reconciliations.
  • Manage month-end Oracle activities, including closing/opening of AP, AR, Inventory, GL, and Purchasing.
  • Create and post Oracle accounting entries and journals (cost re-allocations, prepayments, etc.).
  • Provide backup support for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable (urgent payments, invoice posting, cash allocation, and sales order release).
  • Process and validate intercompany invoices, ensuring accurate reconciliation of statements.
  • Support inventory and machine stock-taking.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns, with a focus on car lease invoicing.
  • Assist with corporate tax calculations and submissions.
  • Monitor and reconcile suspense accounts.
