FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT

BMC Manufacturing supply world class Electrical Switchgear Panels to Data Centres, Pharmaceutical and Construction sectors world-wide. Due to expansion, we are now recruiting a motivated and detail-oriented Qualified Accountant to join our growing finance team. This permanent office-based role will be filled by a qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) with 3+ years of experience.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be working as part of a dynamic finance team in the preparation of monthly management accounts, cashflows, and qualitative management information.
You will be a key player in managing core financial operations, driving process improvements, and supporting the business through accurate reporting and controls.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
· 3+ years of relevant experience
· Strong understanding of month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
· Experience managing or supporting AP/AR processes.
· Confident working with auditors and senior stakeholders
· Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to improving processes.
· Strong IT skills
· Experience with ERP systems (SAP B1) is a plus.
· A growth mindset and ambition to contribute to business expansion.
A financial package commensurate with experience and ability will be available to the selected person.

Responsibilities

· Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate posting of journals and reconciliations.
· Oversee the Accounts Payable (AP) team and take ownership of the Accounts Receivable (AR) function.
· Assist with the year-end audit and statutory reporting requirements.
· Liaise with auditors, regulators, and senior management as needed.
· Support financial controls, planning, and forecasting processes.
· Identify and implement opportunities to streamline financial processes and enhance internal controls.
· Monitor compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
