SUMMARY

The Financial Accountant is responsible for supporting the Financial Controller in managing the organization’s accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves preparing financial statements, managing general ledger activities, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes. The Financial Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of financial data and supporting the financial health of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

· Qualified or part-qualified accountant.
· A minimum of three years industry experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
· Knowledge and experience working with SAP is preferred but not essential.
· Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially excel.
· High level of accuracy in preparing and reviewing financial records.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with the Financial Controller, senior management, and external stakeholders.
· Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a finance team and across departments.

Responsibilities

Financial Reporting:
· Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
· Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
· Ensure compliance Financial Reporting Standard 102.
· Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
· Record and review journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
· Monitor and reconcile balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
