The Financial Accountant for Leica Biosystems is responsible for consolidation reporting and ensuring consistency and compliance with all accounting and control practices. You will also play a role in global ad hoc projects as well as strengthening our existing financial control infrastructure. You will be a part of the Global Corporate Team and report to the Senior Manager Controlling. In this role you will have the opportunity to: Manage the internal and external monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for Leica Biosystems, inclusive of: Preparation of a consolidated income statement and balance sheet for submission to the parent company in adherence with tight reporting deadlines. Calculation and analysis of various financial and operating statistics. Championing the Company’s continued financial stability through a focus on driving integrity in the closing process, internal controls and standardisation of processes across the organisation. Support the local finance teams with technical accounting and compliance guidance. Identifies, recommends, and actively participates in business process improvement opportunities. The essential requirements of the job include: Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA) with Big 4 experience. External audit background. Knowledge and experience of US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) advantageous but not essential. Ability to manage multiple priorities and challenging deadlines. Strong technical accounting knowledge, high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Confidence to challenge processes, raise control issues and provide clarity around financial data.
