Description:

This role involves maintaining our financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations at Elegant Services. As a financial accountant, you will oversee the organization’s financial health. As a financial accountant, you will be responsible for monitoring all financial data, preparing accurate statements, and ensuring compliance with legal regulations of the UAE using Zoho books. Your role will encompass budgeting, managing tax payments, performing internal audits, and providing consultancy to senior managers for cost and revenue analysis.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 1-2 years of UAE experience in the same
  • Proficiency in customer service software and accounting tools such as Zoho Books
  • Familiarity with GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles) or IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
  • Expertise in Zoho Books (invoicing, expense tracking, bank reconciliation, reporting, etc.)

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using Zoho Books, including recording transactions, invoices, expenses, and payments.
  • Regularly reconcile bank statements with Zoho Books to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Manage and track payables and receivables, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Prepare financial statements (profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow statements) using Zoho Books.
  • Create custom reports to provide insights into financial performance, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
  • Use Zoho Books to calculate and file taxes (GST, VAT, income tax, etc.) in compliance with UAE regulations
  • Prepare and provide necessary documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts using Zoho Books.
  • Compare actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts and analyze variances.
  • Manage payroll processing, including salary calculations, deductions, and compliance with UAE labor laws.
  • Handle employee expense reimbursements and ensure accurate recording in Zoho Books.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels and record inventory transactions in Zoho Books.
  • Maintain records of fixed assets, including depreciation schedules.
  • Generate and send invoices to clients and track payments.
  • Manage vendor accounts, process payments, and maintain good relationships.
  • Maximize the use of Zoho Books features for automation, integration, and efficiency.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of financial data within Zoho Books.
  • Provide training and support to staff on using Zoho Books effectively.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve financial processes and systems using Zoho Books.
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in financial regulations, Zoho Books updates, and best practices in financial accounting.
