ERM ANZ is currently recruiting for a full time Financial Accountant to join our Finance Team based in Sydney. This is a 9-month temporary position covering a maternity leave.

QUALIFICATIONS:

environments. To be successful for this role you will demonstrate and possess:

  • 2+ years accounting experience as a financial accountant.
  • Degree qualification or close to finishing accounting degree
  • Experienced in using ERP systems for financial reporting and month-end closing activities.
  • High attention to detail and accurate data entry
  • Strong and effective communication skills
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, with strong professional work ethic
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently

Responsibilities

ROLE PROFILE:

The successful candidate will report directly to the Accounting Supervisor and be responsible for a variety of duties across the financial accounting function.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Timely and accurate monthly closing i.e. ensures all authorised journals are processed and appropriate accruals are made.
  • Preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts to provide relevant and timely financial information to management
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
  • Ensure all Group & ANZ financial reporting deadlines are met
  • Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenue and expenses
  • Monthly General Ledger Reconciliations
  • Assist in the annual audit
  • Insurance renewal and certificate requests
  • Collation of Australian Bureau of Statistics information and submission as required
  • Withholding tax payments and certificates
  • IFRS16 office lease reconciliations and monthly submissions
  • Internal tax reporting for monthly, quarterly and annual lodgements and payments (payroll tax, GST, PAYG, FBT etc)
