Description

FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT:

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our Finance Team. This position offers exposure to a broad range of responsibilities, including statutory and management reporting, financial controls, and day-to-day accounting operations. The successful candidate will also work closely with the Senior Company Accountant, providing support across management accounts, audit requirements, process improvement initiatives, and a variety of ad hoc projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General ledger account reconciliation
  • Accounts receivable and accounts payable processing and management
  • Bank account management and reconciliation
  • Preparation of accruals and prepayments
  • Journal entry posting and review
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Tax compliance and return preparation, including Intrastats/VIES
  • Year-end audit preparation and liaison with external auditors
  • Grant preparation and reporting
  • Preparation of financial analysis and commentary to support decision-making
  • Ad hoc financial reporting as required
  • Participation in cross-functional projects and process improvement initiatives

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Ideally a minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience, preferably within an industry environment
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Knowledge of SAP B1 would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
  • A proactive and professional attitude, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under deadlines
