Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Analyst with a strong focus on cash management and general ledger accounting to join our corporate finance team. This role plays a critical part in supporting month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring the accuracy of cash balances, and maintaining compliance with financial and tax regulations. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and collaborative, with experience in financial reporting and accounting systems.

PREFERRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Experience with accounting and financial software, specifically Great Plains (Microsoft Dynamics GP), ReconNet, and Management Reporter or similar platforms.
  • Strong Excel skills, including the ability to perform data analysis and create pivot tables.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant finance or accounting experience, preferably with a focus on cash management or general ledger accounting.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform detailed financial analyses to support month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain general ledger entries in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Conduct regular bank reconciliations, investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly, ensuring accuracy of cash balances.
  • Assist with tax-related tasks, including gathering financial data and supporting local, state, and federal tax filings to maintain compliance.
  • Support audit preparation by organizing documentation, reconciling critical accounts, and addressing auditor inquiries efficiently.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure consistency and alignment between financial reporting and operational processes.
  • Analyze variances between actual results and budgeted forecasts; prepare variance reports and communicate findings.
  • Participate in the development, documentation, and implementation of internal controls and process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Maintain financial records and documentation to ensure data integrity in all accounting systems.
  • Assist with ad hoc financial projects, reporting, and special analyses as requested by management.
